Product recommendation

Tools you can use to succeed at every level

Starting with zero experience in triathlon and having the goal to do an Ironman once in my life, I am testing a lot of different gears and read a lot of different books and blogs about the topic.

I am recommending you what I think are the best ones. I have personally tested everything on this page. If you think my advices are helpful to you, please click on the links. If you make a purchase, I will earn a commission. This is at no additional cost to you. I chose personally the products, not for the small commissions I will earn but because I believe they will be helpful to you.

#1 sport watch for triathletes

Garmin Forerunner 920 XT

That’s so far my favorite and the one I’m using currently every day. You could buy the watch without the heart strap for 40/50€ less but you would miss some valuable data.

I specially like the fact that the watch is uploading my activities to Strava automatically, it’s really comfortable to wear and it’s made for triathlon with GPS tracking.

If you have any question about this watch, you can contact me directly, and I’ll answer you the best I can.

The Miracle Morning

My #1 book recommendation

“I don’t have time”. I don’t know how many times I heard that, and honestly I was also one of those persons.

If you are looking for a simple way to read more and do more sports, this book is for you. I decided to do an Ironman the next morning after reading this book.

Total Immersion

My #1 method for swimming

I hated freestyle swimming. Always spending my time kicking and pulling as much as I could to still have the feeling of not moving forward in the water. I wished I would have learned about this technique earlier.

I wrote a full post about TI and how you can learn it. Check it out here.

My #2 app for triathlon (come on, of course mine is #1 😉 )

With “The Social Network for Athletes” you can easily follow the progress of your friends and members of our community.

Download the app on your smartphone or connect to their website. I recommend to stay on their free version for a while to get familiar with it. I still didn’t upgrade to the premium version. Once downloaded, look for our club: “My Tri World” and request access.

The choice of app was a real challenge for me. There are literally dozens of apps available, and most of you are probably using a different one. Make the move, it is totally worth it.
